The Environment We Live In - Environmental Issues

Description:
This course provides an in-depth analysis of various environmental issues relative to real estate transactions on Long Island. Emphasis will be on issues related to soil and groundwater contamination. Topics include: pertinent regulations at federal, state and county levels; regulatory compliance requirements and related issues for commercial and industrial properties; buying and selling commercial real estate from both the buyers and the sellers perspectives; agency notification requirements; appraisal issues and problems with completing the transaction; popular remediation technologies; and costs and case histories. Additional topics of discussion will include landlord/ tenant lease language, dealing with consultants, regulators and the public, popular brownfield redevelopment, and risk-based clean-ups.

Learn to use the Hewlett Packard HP 10BII Financial Calculator to perform calculations used in residential, commercial, and investment real estate. New and experienced agents will learn through practical examples the basic keys, memory functions, and formula adaptations.
