ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONER'S INSTITUTE

Jeffrey N. Barber

Jeffrey N. Barber is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Herald National Bank, in the Bank’s Melville office. He began his banking career in 1986, spending almost twenty years with State Bank of Long Island where he served as a Team Leader within the Bank’s Commercial Lending Division. Jeffrey is involved in all aspects of commercial banking, specializing in lending to the real estate industry. He is known for the superior personal attention that he provides to each and every one of his clients and for his ability to develop customized credit solutions for them.

Jeffrey is involved in numerous civic and community activities. He has received the Corporate Volunteer of the Year Award from MercyFirst, a not-for-profit organization that provides services to at-risk youth, for creating and coordinating a financial education and job shadowing program for the organization’s youth. He was also recognized by Long Island Business News in 2006 with the Forty under Forty Award for his professional and community service achievements.

In addition to being a Board member of REPI Long Island, Jeffrey has served as an active member of the Long Island Builder’s Institute.

Jeffrey received a BBA in Management and Finance Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University. He later earned a MBA in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University.
