EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS ---------------------------------------------------

Mark Bosswick, a CPA and attorney, is a senior tax partner and member of the executive committee at Berdon llp. In his more than 25 years with the firm, Mark has concentrated in the areas of individual, partnership, and S corporation taxation and planning. He serves clients in a variety of industries, most notably real estate, hotels, and service businesses. Mark’s close association to real estate owners, builders, and operators has resulted in his role as consultant and advisor on many major real estate transactions amounting to billions of dollars.

His experience in the real estate area includes: |
- planning and structuring joint venture arrangements,
including property development
- advising and negotiating sales and acquisitions
- obtaining securitized financing
- formulating lease arrangements
- acquiring mortgages and related REOs
- utilizing like-kind exchanges in creative situations

Mark also works closely with clients in the following areas: |
- planning and consulting on corporate and personal financial matters to retain
and increase net-worth
- advising family-owned business clients on succession planning
- negotiating and structuring shareholder/buyout agreements
- estate planning using sophisticated wealth-preservation techniques
|
In addition, Mark assists clients in litigation support matters, including matrimonial, bankruptcies, and workouts. He works with attorneys throughout the discovery process, consulting on interrogatories
and depositions as well as drafting and submitting affidavits.

Mark Bosswick graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, cum laude. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and a Master of Laws degree in taxation from New York University School of Law. In 1984, he obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant in New York. Mark was admitted to practice law before the Courts of New York in 1987 and the United States Tax Court in 1988. |
