Kathleen Giamo, Principal, Giamo Einsidler Real Estate Services; has over 25 year experience in leasing commercial real estate.
Prior to starting her own firm, Kathy was Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate and Community Development for Reckson Associates Realty Corp., one of the largest publicly traded owners and managers of properties in the New York tri-state area. She joined Reckson Associates in 1980 as Marketing Director and Senior Vice President of Leasing responsible for the company's Long Island office portfolio. Kathy served as Reckson's liaison between public and governmental agencies and directed the advertising and marketing programs for the company.
Ms. Giamo is Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Long Island University, C.W. Post Real Estate Practitioner's Institute and is a Board Member of the Long Island Business Development Council and a Board Member of the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives. She is a member of the Industrial and Office Brokers Association of New York and also the Women Economic Developers of Long Island.
An active member of the community, Ms. Giamo is on the Board of Director's of the United Way of Long Island and the Chairperson of the new building Brick Campaign. In addition, she is a Board of Trustee of the Good Samaritan Hospital, part of the Catholic Health Care Systems. She also serves on the Board of the Y.M.C.A. of Long Island and the Long Island Philharmonic. Ms. Giamo is also active on the Board of the Suffolk Child Care Council.
In 1990, Ms. Giamo received the Annual Award from the Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation and is a former Board Member. In 1998, she was the honoree of the North Shore Hospital Long Island Jewish Health Systems annual dinner benefiting the Syosset Plainview divisions and in 2001 she was named the American Heart Association honoree.
Ms. Giamo has believed in sharing skills achieved as a result of her career and has established a New York State Accredited Leasing and Marketing Real Estate Course with the Continuing Education Department of C.W. Post, Long Island University. |
