ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONER'S INSTITUTE |

F. J. McCarthy, CCIM, is President of the Site Selection Advisory Group, a Long Island based commercial real estate development and consulting company that specializes in retail development and brokerage. Mr. McCarthy is currently the preferred broker for the McDonald's Corporation for Nassau and Suffolk Counties and KinderCare Learning Centers, and is developing sites for C.V.S. pharmacies.
Before starting the Site Selection Advisory Group in 1997, Mr. McCarthy was Director of Real Estate for Waldbaum Supermarkets, a division of The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company of Montvale, New Jersey from 1989 to 1996. As Director of Real Estate Mr. McCarthy was responsible for new store development, implementation of the capital plan, management of company-owned facilities and administration of company-leased facilities.
Prior to his employment at Waldbaums, Mr. McCarthy was Assistant Director of Finance with Slayton Feldman Shopping Center Developers from 1988 to 1989 where he was responsible for the administration of construction loans and shopping center operations.
Mr. McCarthy holds his degree in finance from Fordham University. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute of Chicago where he serves on the Designation Committee, and as secretary of the Institute's New York State Chapter. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. |
