ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONER'S INSTITUTE |

William J. Newham, III, Senior Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer of the Bank of Smithtown, has over 18 years experience in banking and commercial real estate financing. Prior to his current position, Mr. Newham served as Vice President and Relationship Manager for the Commercial Real Estate Group of HSBC Bank USA, N.A., and as Vice President with The Roslyn Savings Bank (a division of NYCB) as Vice President of their Commercial Real Estate Division. Mr. Newham is responsible for originating new commercial real estate loans consisting of construction, interim and permanent facilities on multi-family apartment buildings, single family subdivisions, office, retail, and industrial properties. Prior to Roslyn, he served 3 years with Union Savings Bank in their commercial lending and internal auditing divisions.
Mr. Newham is a graduate of New England College with a B.A. in finance and economics. He is also a graduate of Americas Community Bankers National School of Banking at Fairfield University.
Mr. Newham is an associate member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and serves on the Board of Directors Real Estate Practitioners Institute at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus in Brookville. He also serves on various local charitable organizations including Family Residence and Essential Enterprises and the Suffolk YJCC. |
