Charles A. Rich is Founder and President of CA Rich Consultants, Inc., a full-service Long Island groundwater and environmental consulting firm. CA Rich specializes in minimizing environmental liabilities through due diligence assessments, remediation and on-going environmental inspections, audits & maintenance. Mr. Rich's 29-year career includes water resource management, remedial investigations & risk-based cleanups, aquifer protection and redevelopment of brownfields.
Mr. Rich authors peer-reviewed papers and publishes a variety of technical articles and editorials. He co-authored the Ground Water Section of the Long Island 208 Waste Management Program for the Nassau/Suffolk Regional Planning Board which, among other achievements, classified Long Island into several important hydrogeologic zones. He delivered the Invited Keynote Address to one of the first USEPA Symposia on Aquifer Restoration and helped develop the National "Phase I" Standard Practice for Environmental Due Diligence. He was a Principal Investigator at Love Canal for the NY State Attorney General, and he recently provided Expert Testimony for the United States of America in a civil contamination case that resulted in one of the largest hazardous waste settlements in history.
Mr. Rich received his B.Sc. from Syracuse University and his M.A. from Queens College. Charles is listed in current editions of Marquis' Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. |
