Raymond A. Ruiz

Current Responsibilities
Mr. Ruiz is an Executive Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle in the firm's recent expansion in the New York Suburban Market of Long Island. As Long Island's Market Leader, Mr. Ruiz is responsible for the cultivation of the Jones Lang LaSalle brand in a new market by growing the firm's existing client relationships on Long Island, developing new business across the firm's platforms and executing transactions representing major owners and occupiers throughout the market.
Experience
Mr. Ruiz is an active, prolific participant in the Long Island real estate market for over 23 years. Throughout his career in Long Island's commercial real estate landscape, Mr. Ruiz has acted as strategic advisor and exclusive representative to clients such as GE Pension Fund, Allstate Insurance and Met Life. His work initiating and executing lease and sales transactions for commercial office and medical properties exceeds 27 million sq. ft. He has acted senior consultant to a variety of ownership structures as well as representing numerous national and international clienteles in their business decisions. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Ruiz was Senior Vice President with CB Richard Ellis' Long Island regional office for 18 years. Mr. Ruiz joined CB Richard Ellis from Koll Real Estate Services where he was Vice President. He also was formerly with Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island, where he acted as tenant and landlord representative.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Ruiz holds a bachelor of science in economics from New York University He is a current Board Member Commercial Industrial Broker Society (CIBS) for which he served as President in 2007 and 2008. Mr. Ruiz is also a member of the Long Island Chapter of CoreNet Global (Corporate Real Estate Network). He has been awarded the CoStar Power Broker award consistently from 2007 through 2010. As well Mr. Ruiz is an active participant in local charities such as The Long Island Real Estate division of the March of Dimes and The United Way. |
