William T. Yorio

Bill Yorio joined Corporate National Realty as a Partner in January 2002. He began his real estate career in 1970 in Midtown New York as a commercial real estate salesman with Douglas Elliman & Co. After three years, Bill joined Loews Corporation as an executive in the real estate department with leasing responsibility for Metropolitan area hotels, movie theatres, mixed-use office/residential towers and parking garages. Other responsibilities included the disposition of various real estate assets owned by the Tisch family. In the mid 1970's, Bill returned to the brokerage business and joined Cross & Brown as Vice President. In 1981, he decided to work in the suburbs and was hired as Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield's Long Island office in Garden City.

At Cushman & Wakefield, he was the top producer for many of the 22 years of his employment and was honored with the The Most Valuable Player Award for the decade of 1980. In 1995, he was promoted to Managing Director and under his leadership the Long Island office enjoyed its most successful year in history.

Bill has leased or sold in excess of 8 million square feet of space over the course of his career. Noteworthy accomplishments include the sale of the New York Chiropractic College Campus in Brookville to St. Francis Hospital (52 acres), the build-to-suit sale of the Rolls-Royce Headquarters building in Lyndhurst, New Jersey (90,000 SF), the sale of a warehousing distribution center to Maurice Villency, Inc., in Jericho (175,000 SF), and the sale of Doubleday Direct's Headquarters building in Garden City (110,000 SF). Significant office leasing accomplishments include Aetna Insurance Company (148,000 SF) at the World Trade Center, 40 leasing transactions totaling some 240,000 SF on behalf of Ford Motor Credit throughout the northeast, IBM (47,000 SF) at EAB Plaza, Crawford & Co. at Maxess Road, Melville (67,000 SF), and Nassau BOCES at 71 Clinton Road, Garden City (74,000 SF) and the Estee Lauder Companies at Pinelawn Road, Melville (58,000 SF).

He has also represented a number of Landlords with exclusive agency assignments including 666 Old Country Road, Garden City (119,000 SF) on behalf of Corporate Property Investors, One Old Country Road, Carle Place (267,000 SF) on behalf of Prudential Insurance Co., 2 Seaview Blvd., Port Washington (30,000 SF) on behalf of E.W. Howell & Co., 200 Robbins Lane, Jericho (175,000 SF) on behalf of Citicorp and 275 Broadhollow Road, Melville on behalf of Chase Investors of NY.

Bill is a past recipient of Reckson Associates "Office Broker of the Year" Award, past president of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of LI (CIBS), and a member of the CIBS Advisory Board. He was also the 2003 recipient of "The Most Ingenious Deal of the Year" Award presented by the Association for a Better Long Island. Bill is an Executive Board Member of the Real Estate Practitioners Institute at C.W. Post College; and President of the Windham Mountain Homeowners in concert with Windham Mountain, Inc. in Windham, New York. |
